“Tips “
How To Clean The “Green” Way:
Baking Soda
Bathroom: Sprinkle baking soda in sink, tub, or shower, then scrub with a sponge. Add hydrogen peroxide for extra cleansing power.
All Purpose Cleaning: Sprinkle baking soda on a sponge and wipe surfaces down; rinse and dry. Works on counter tops, stove tops, microwaves, inside refrigerator, sinks, and laundry appliances. Add hydrogen peroxide for extra cleaning power.
Shower Curtains or Glass: Clean and deodorize by scrubbing with a paste of baking soda and water.
Cockroaches: Use where cockroaches hide out. Mix baking soda and powdered sugar – 1:1 ratio.
Shampoo: Mix 1:1 ratio of apple cider vinegar and baking soda, diluted with a bit of water. Seems to restore oil production to allow smooth hair and smooth skin.
Vinegar
Floors: 1/2 Cup of white vinegar in a gallon of warm water. Use for damp mopping vinyl, ceramic tile, or laminate floors.
Windows: 1/8 cup vinegar with 16oz of water for window and glass cleaning.
Clothing Stains: Gently rub the stain with full-strength vinegar. Alternatively, hydrogen peroxide also works well.
Clogged Drains: 1/2 to 1 cup of baking soda into the drain. Followed by one cup of hot vinegar. Let sit for several hours, then follow with very hot water.
Ants: Spray 1:1 ratio of vinegar and water around areas where ants enter the house.
Lemons
Furniture: Mix 1:2 ratio of lemon juice and olive oil. Use a soft cloth to apply. Use clean, soft cloth to polish.
Garbage Disposal: Putting cut up lemon into the garbage disposal will leave your kitchen smelling lemon fresh.
